The term “Street art” gives me the shivers. I don’t really like being linked to it, because the media tend to include under this tag all sorts of things I feel I have nothing in common with.

My attitude during all these years of working on the street has always been the same –I do whatever I feel like doing, with devotion, and I basically don’t care about anything else. I’ve never been specially worried about documenting or promoting my work. To me, the key is to be active –to do things and be at the right place in the right moment, either alone or with friends, and manage to express what was in my mind.

El término “Street art” me da bastante repelús, y en el fondo me incomoda que se me relacione con esto, porque los medios meten en ese saco cosas con actitudes muy distintas con las que yo no siento ninguna afinidad.

Mi actitud durante todos estos años de actividad callejera es siempre la misma: hacer lo que me apetece con dedicación y pasar de todo lo demás. Nunca me preocupé demasiado por la documentación ni por la promoción de lo que hago. Lo más importante para mí es la acción: el hacer y el estar en un momento determinado, solo o acompañado, y conseguir plasmar lo que estabas pensando.
